  • The Rhipsalis baccifera, commonly known as the Mistletoe Cactus, is a unique epiphytic succulent that defies the "desert cactus" stereotype. Instead of spikes and sand, this plant offers elegant, thread-like stems that cascade beautifully, making it a sophisticated choice for modern interiors.

The Mistletoe Cactus is the ultimate "low-drama" plant for those who want the lush look of a fern with the resilience of a succulent. Its trailing nature makes it a showstopper for hanging baskets or high shelves, adding a touch of jungle-chic to any room.

A tropical epiphytic cactus. Unlike desert cacti, it lacks sharp spines and instead features smooth, cylindrical, branching stems that grow in lush, pendulous clusters. It produces tiny, delicate creamy-white to greenish flowers along its stems. Once pollinated, these turn into small, translucent white berries that look remarkably like mistletoe berries - hence its common name.

  • Prefers bright, indirect light. Avoid direct afternoon sun, which can scorch the delicate stems. It can tolerate lower light than most cacti.

Unlike desert cacti, it likes a bit of moisture. Water when the top 50% of the soil feels dry. Do not let it sit in standing water.

Use a well-draining mix. A blend of potting soil with orchid bark or perlite works best to mimic its natural "air plant" environment.

Ideal range is 18°C – 27°C. It is not frost-tolerant and should be kept away from cold drafts.

Generally considered non-toxic to cats and dogs, making it a pet-friendly choice for your home.

  • Suitable for outdoor growth in Zones 9b – 11; otherwise, it is strictly an indoor houseplant.

One of the very best and most current.
Format: Kindle
This is one of somewhere between 50 and 100 books I have read cover to cover about astral projection, including books written from the 1920s to those currently being written. Silvia's book is in the top 5 of the best of all of them. Her introductory chapters and information are excellent, as are all chapters. This book contains very little superfluous information, but at the same time contains all of the essentials. I have read other books by Silvia and find them extremely well written and insightful. I can highly recommend this book as a first book for those interested in the subject, and also for seasoned individuals and those who are already familiar with the subject. Thank you Silvia for writing this and making it available.
